Our Senator  Samdech Hun Sen of Cambodia encourages good neighbourhood with the grand nation of Thailand, fully in line with the precepts of the International Parliament for Safety & Peace.

Prime Minister Hun Sen of Cambodia, who is Senator for Life and Member of the Supreme Council of the IPSP eased fears about a looming war with neighbouring Thailand by stating " We must not bring our countries to war just because of disputes on our border" and "We need to stay together as good neighbours for tens of thousands of years to come. We need to narrow our disputes and maximise bilateral cooperation, including trade."
The International Parliament strongly encourages such peace and prosperity building efforts and wishes the best for Thailand and Cambodia.

Relations between Venezuela and Madrid normal again

President Chavez of Venezuela, who is the International Parliament's second Vice President, met with H.M. Juan Carlos of Spain in order to mend relationships. Both were in a joking mood and reconciled quickly after the "Shut up" row of last year which has become a motif for T-Shirt and even a telephone ring tone in the Spanish speaking world. More important: Hugo Chavez - fully in line of the IPSPs policy of good will and voluntary cooperation between the nations - guaranteed Spain a fixed price for Venezuelan Oil (100 US Dollar) which is substantially under market price, "in exchange for medicine and other goods, a Spanish government source told AFP."

Our Vice President Chavez ended the confrontation with Colombia in the spirit of Safety & Peace.

Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela make peace with handshake
The presidents of Ecuador and Colombia, Rafael Correa and Álvaro Uribe, respectively, Friday settled their dispute with a handshake at the end of the 20th Rio Group Summit held in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

The host of the summit, Dominican President Leonel Fernández, suggested that the three presidents hug each other as a gesture marking the end of the diplomatic crisis.

"And with this, this incident that has caused so much damage (is) resolved," said to thunderous applause the Ecuadorian ruler.

Afterwards, the Colombian President walked towards Rafael Correa, Hugo Chávez and Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega to shake their hands.

After the impasse was overcome, President Ortega announced he was restoring diplomatic relations with Colombia.

IPSP Vice President Chavez, who is President of Venezuela, succeeds with his negations with FARC & frees  Colombian Presidential candidate

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, acting as mediator between the FARC and the Colombian government, had surprised everyone hours earlier when he announced that Gonzalez and Rojas were to be freed — a week after hopes for their release seemed to have all but collapsed in a New Year's debacle that made one of the world's most powerful rebel armies look as foolish as it is fierce. The women "are completely free," an exultant Chavez said at the Miraflores presidential palace after talking with them by telephone Thursday. "I said to both of them, 'Welcome back to life.'"
